  • I think it's one of those books you read to hear the other side and its self-justification and mentality. It's like reading Kissinger or Nixon's memoir---it's still history, and a guidepost.

  • Matching a suspect to the description given by multiple eyewitnesses is not considered undue profiling, it's merely police work. "Profiling" would be "the bank was just robbed, black people are more commonly incarcerated in this area, we should suspect the black people first".

  • Problem is, of course, "keeping your eye on" them makes you seem suspicious even with the best of intentions. I feel terrible that women have to be paranoid about that sort of thing now.

  • Uhm, for one, most of the comments on here did not say "find him and immediately shoot the man on the street after someone identifies him as a lead suspect". We're all talking about the ACTUAL PERPETRATOR of the crimes.

Tell you what, find someone like this guy in Chicago and bend over, and tell me you like living with yourself afterward.
